Aaliyah Dana Haaughton soared to notoriety after she released her first album Age Ain't Nothing but A Number in the year 1994. When she was just 15, the album achieved Gold status. R. Kelly heavily influenced the group and helped bring the artist to the forefront. In the year 1996, Jermaine Durpri along with Timbaland collaborated to produce her sophomore album One In A Million. The album included the song If Your Boyfriend only knew as the lead single one. Aaliyah achieved international recognition for her R&B singing through the album. In 2000 she appeared as a character in Romeo Must Die, a romance/action movie with Jet-Li. Joel Silver, a film producer at an award show when she got the role was able to spot her. In 2002 she got to play the vampire flick Queen of the Damned which was inspired by Anne Rice's Anne Rice novel. She then got into the Matrix by playing Zee as Zee in The Matrix Sequels having also been in The Matrix Reloaded in 2003 and The Matrix Revolutions in the same year. Aarti Magnumdar is her official name, but she is also known as Aarti Magumdar. While her initial career was filled with minor films and television parts, she gained notoriety in the late 2000s. Apart from The Big Bang Theory her other most acclaimed works include Leverage (2012) Suits (2013) and Grey's Anatomy (2017). In addition, she has appeared in important commercials of brands such as Volvo the world's largest auto maker. She lives with her family in Los Angeles along with her wife, son and daughter. She also pursues her acting career.
