Emeraude Toubia

Emeraude is an Canadian actress best known for the fantasy television show Shadowhunters on Freeform and the Venevision telenovelas Cosita linda and Voltea Pa' Que Te Enamores. As a dancer and model Toubia also has achieved great success in both of these fields. Montreal-born, she has lived in Texas from the time she was a child and has always loved dancing. When she was a young girl she began to learn various forms of dance. At the age 15 she took part in beauty contests. In 1999, she made her first on-screen appearance in Televisa's children's program El Mundo de los Ninos. Toubia became famous when in 2008, she appeared as competing in Nuestra Belleza Latina season two of Univision's beauty contest. Toubia began her acting career in 2010 in a role as a receptionist in a Telemundo episode. She also appeared in her debut film, the action-drama Tattooed Love.
