Jeanie Marie Buss is an American businesswoman. she is the current president and controlling owner of Los Angeles Lakers in the National Basketball Association. Buss, who is from California is a member of an extremely wealthy family. Jerry Buss is her father. He was an estate tycoon and later owner of Lakers as well as other companies. In 1972, her parents broke up together and she felt abandoned. She joined her family's business at the age of 19 and became the general manager of the Los Angeles Strings tennis team.
