Whitney Houston and Dana Bash
Whitney Elizabeth Houston is a performer that was born in Newark New Jersey on the 9th of August 1963. The parents of her are gospel stars Cissy Houston(n e Emily Lee Drinkard), and John Russell Houston Jr. Whitney's cousin Dionne warwick also sings. She began singing in a choir at the church she attended The New Hope Baptist Church in Newark in the early years of her childhood and at fifteen, she was singing back vocals professionally along with her mother on Chaka Khan's hit song from 1978 Im Every Woman. She went on to provide back vocals to Jermaine and Lou Rawls as well as her own mother. She also did a brief stint as models for the front cover of Seventeen magazine in the year 1981. Her vocals with the band from New York Material have attracted record companies of all sizes, including Arista. They signed her with Arista in 1983 where she spent the remainder of her career. The first Whitney Houston album was released in 1985. It became one of the most successful albums of an artist. My Love was her debut album. My Love was released in 1985, and quickly became a number one hit. Album sold in US 3,000,000 copies, and later reached 25,000,000 copies world-wide. The album earned her the first in the six Grammy Awards she has won. Whitney, her album Whitney, released in 1987, and featuring the popular songs What Do Broken Hearts go? and I Wanna Dance With Somebody, continued her earlier success. It was The Bodyguard (1996) that cemented her position as the top selling album in music. The film, and her performance in it were not very popular, however the soundtrack and her rendition of the song by Dolly Parton I Will Always Love You charted for several months on the charts and she sold nearly 44 million singles and albums across the globe. In the same year she welcomed her daughter Bobbi she married Bobby Brown of the ex-New Edition group. Around this time, her drug abuse became well documented and she started using it daily until 1996.
Dana Bash or Dana Ruth Schwartz as she's more well-known, is an American anchorwoman reporter as well as CNN's political anchorwoman and political correspondent.
